oldguy52 - resist, live, love<p>Still working on sunrises to help steady myself before the next onslaught of attacks from the mad hatter and his gestapo DOGE crew. If you have not seen last nights Maddow, please take the time to watch that in full, and read Dr. Richardson's letter. </p><p>Locally, dark skies are hard to find. Our nearest Class 2 skies are at the <br>Tallgrass Prairie Preserve. They do not permit camping overnight, so the task is to get up ~11:30 or midnight, to assess the skies, take the 2 hour drive, hope clouds have not moved in and then shoot the Milky Way through Blue Hour and switch to Sunrise, then Bison and Baby Bison (best in May). BTW if you are out there, the night ranch hands will come by to check on you.</p><p>The switch from Blue to Golden hour is accompanied by increased animal activity. In this case the rout (or pack) of Coyotes that were hanging around ~30 meters behind me started calling and yipping until the sun came up -- thrilling to hear.</p><p><a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Astrophotography" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Astrophotography</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/20mm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>20mm</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Sunrise" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Sunrise</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/400mm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>400mm</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/TallgrassPrairiePreserve" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TallgrassPrairiePreserve</span></a></p>
