A sequence of my #LunarEclipse pictures from last night.
Wallpaper version of all my lunar eclipse shows from the first half of the event last night. All approx 15 min. apart.
Stayed up way too late last night, but did manage to get a descent picture of the lunar eclipse. #Astronomy #Astrophotography #LunarEclipse
We had some thick clouds and haze in Irvine, but still got nice views of the #LunarEclipse when the clouds weren't in the way.
Here's a quick and dirty edit of one of the frames I got (the camera is still running lol)
Update: it was so quick and dirty that I didn't realize it was upside down (it's correct now lol)
Sky scene for that last photo. Cheers!
12am Seattle time. Eeked out one last shot before heading for bed. Happy Pi Day, everyone! G’night!
I have discovered that the “blood moon” is actually an egg
Never mind, we got this. 11:45pm Seattle and grainy since I’m up to 6400 ISO.
Uh-oh, may not quite make it to totality here in Seattle.
Blood moon but my finger in it but actually looks really cool imho
11:30pm Seattle time. Image is getting noisy as I bump the ISO to get more of that red glow. On a tripod for the prev few images, too.
11:15pm Seattle time.
Shot number three.
Totality--Blood Moon--begins at 11:26pm PDT (07:26 UTC). 3/n
I got lucky! Surprisingly, the sky was clear this morning, so I was able to see the beginning of the partial phase of this total lunar eclipse as the moon was setting.
